Ranger Mastery (jewel augmentation)

Description

A mysterious gem with great potential, crafted by the artisans of the Sunderguard. This jewel is designed to enhance a Ranger's abilities. Adventurers are limited to 3 different equipped jewel augmentations.

Mark enemies for death. Hunter's Mark can now always be cast as a cantrip and your concentration can no longer be broken by taking damage. More enemies can be marked simultaneously, and marked enemies take additional damage from you and your allies, suffering additional conditions when struck by you.

Bardic Mastery (jewel augmentation)

Description

A mysterious gem with great potential, crafted by the artisans of the Sunderguard. This jewel is designed to enhance a Bard's abilities. Adventurers are limited to 3 different equipped jewel augmentations.

Benefit your party by being unstoppably charismatic. Your Bardic Inspiration affects increased numbers of creatures with a single use, up to your entire party, and can provide temporary hit points. You now use Improved Bardic Inspiration dice, which can be used to benefit a D20 test, increase AC, or add to damage rolls, and you can replenish Bardic Inspiration uses during combat.

Lure (jewel augmentation)

Description

A mysterious gem with great potential, crafted by the artisans of the Sunderguard.  This jewel twists the weave around your personage, affecting nearby creatures.  Adventurers are limited to 3 different equipped jewel augmentations.

Draw enemies' attention during combat.

Journal fragment with unfamiliar symbol

The following journal scrap was found in some of the belongings stolen from travelers to Greypeak Settlement.  It appeared to be written on much finer paper than most letters and notes, and may have been torn from a book or tome, rather than simply inscribed on a scrap of loose paper.  The symbol added below the text was not familiar to the group.

Berty and Bart (journal entries)

Some of the following scraps were recovered during the team's encounter with Berty and Bart in the southern woods during a trip to recover religious icons.  During an encounter with a large spider, Bart set off numerous explosives, which appear to have led to the pair's demise.

The first 4 of these notes were signed with the letter B, each written with an overdone flourish, obviously referencing the authors who took the time to add their name and self-proclaimed title to the introductory line of every note they wrote.  The final note appeared to be in a different handwriting altogether, and was unsigned.

Blitz (jewel augmentation)

Description

A mysterious gem with great potential, crafted by the artisans of the Sunderguard.  This jewel imbues a weapon with additional strength.  Adventurers are limited to 3 different equipped jewel augmentations.

When wielding a weapon that is neither two-handed or versatile, attacks deal additional damage of the weapon's type and may apply other mastery effects (Vex, Sap, and Slow).
